On Tuesday the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode commissioned eight centers for vehicle inspection in addition to the formal one i.e. two inspection centers.

The eight centres are located in Oko-Oba; Ayobo – Iyana-Ipaja; Oko-Afo; Badagry; PWD; Gbagada; Agric-Isawo and Epe.

The Governor  was represented at the commissioning by the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Ladi Lawanson, said before the end of the year, 10 more centres would be opened. Whose targets is to reduce accidents by 35 percent in the world through institution of safety systems.

Mr. Segun Obayendo, the Managing Director of Lagos Computerized Inspection Centre (LACVIS), has said in his statement that 12 additional centers will be added to the 10 centers before the end of the year.

He further advised the commercial vehicle drivers and private owners to certify the condition of their vehicles twice in a year.
