The National Union of Road Transport Workers, (NURTW) on Thursday said it will fully support the enforcement of introduction of Speed Limit Device by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).

The President of the Union, Alhaji Najeem Us¬man-Yasin, stated this while speaking with the Kwara House of Assembly Correspondents in llorin on Thursday.

Usman-Yasin described the introduction of the de¬vice as a measure to check over speeding and ultimate¬ly reduce accidents on the highways.

The President of the Union urged members to comply with the device which, he said, will com¬mence in February 2017.

The President of the Union expressed disap¬pointment over the con¬stant arrest of his members over cases of fake drivers’ licenses.

He said the Union had begun consultations with the FRSC Corps Marshal, Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, on how to address the problem.
