Pietermaritzburg – Four people, including a child, were injured when their car crashed into a house in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday morning, paramedics said.

“Two women and a five-year-old boy were found outside the vehicle with minor injuries,” ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said.

“The driver of the vehicle was found inside the property with moderate injuries.”

The car was found halfway into the house’s driveway. The injured were treated on the scene before being taken to hospital.

Vermaak said that while the cause of the accident was not yet known, one of the occupants of the vehicle said that the driver lost control at a nearby intersection before crashing into the property.
