While returning from a football match in Bakura Village, a 19-year-old footballer identified as Abdulrahman Ahmed was involved in a car crash that claimed his life. Autoxpat learnt that the incident occurred on Monday night at Four Square Church Junction, Rafin Zurfi, Bauchi,Nigeria. It was also learnt that 9 other persons sustained various degrees of injuries. An eye witness said the victim was thrown out of the side window of the bus and in the process, his head was smashed thereby killing him on the spot. Giving further details of the unfortunate incident, the Acting Police Public Relations Officer of Bauchi State Command, said that the accident involved two vehicles and was caused by the driver of a Toyota Hilux Van. He said the driver drove“without due consideration” of other road users.
According to the officer; “on Monday at about 7:30pm, a fatal accident occurred at the Four Square Church Junction along Dasa Road involving a black Sharon bus with registration number ZAR 136 AA, driven by one Danlamin Suleiman, male (25) of Yakubun Wanka Road in Bauchi and a White Hilux driven by one Haruna Job, male, (25) of Rafin zurfi. “The accident
occurred when Haruna drove the Hilux Van from the junction to the Highway without due consideration, thereby causing the Sharon Bus driver to veer off the road to avoid collision. As a result, the bus Abdulrahman Ahmed, Male,(19) sustained a deep cut on
his head and has later confirmed dead at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital Bauchi
